MISSOURI CITY, Texas-The Centenary women's golf team took seventh in the Husky Invitational hosted by Houston Baptist at Sienna Plantation with a three-round score of 1020.
The Ladies (336-335-349) struggled in the final round, adding 14 strokes to their second round score to round out the 48-hole tournament.
Senior Jessica Marquart (84-76-85) was Centenary's top performer with a 245 for a tie for 19th place.
Freshman Kyndal Rose (82-84-82) finished in a tie for 22nd with a two-day total of 248. Classmates Claire Whitis (86-85-92, 263), Justine Kemp (84-90-92, 266) placed 35th and tied for 36th, respectively, while Rachel Grinnell (96-96-90, 282) rounded out the Ladies scores.
Houston Baptist (309-305-313, 927) took team honors as UTSA (304-313-312, 929) finished second and Sam Houston State (317-311-328, 956) took third.
Paola Valerio of UTSA (76-73-75, 234) captured first place as an individual.
Centenary will compete next in the Summit League Championships on April 17th and 18th held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
