High School
David attended Huntington Beach High School where he was a member of the Oiler basketball team. Under head coach Fabian Luna, David helped lead his team to the State Quarter Finals in his senior season. Individually, he was named All-Seaview League First Team and All-State Second Team. David averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks per game his senior season.

Club
David played club basketball most recently for I Can All-Stars under Rock Johnson his senior season. He was also a member of BCA Blue Chips during his junior year.

Personal
Born on December 27, 1990 in Artesia, California, David is the son of David and JoAnne Swartz. He has three younger siblings, Matt, Rebecca and Jennifer. David plans to major in secondary education in hopes of becoming either an NBA or high school basketball coach.
