MARSHALL, Texas – After a weekend in California, the #24 Centenary baseball team (3-1) returns back to more familiar territory when it travels to East Texas Baptist (2-1) for a three-game series Friday-Saturday, February 10-11.

Live Stats | Live Video

East Texas Baptist, who led NCAA Division III in both total home runs (71) and home runs per game (1.58) in 2016, hit three round-trippers in taking 2-of-3 at Schreiner last weekend. It could be a great hitters weekend, as the weather is supposed to heat up and winds will be blowing out of the south 10-20 MPH both days.

Last Year

The Tigers came into Shehee Stadium in 2016 as one of the best hitting ball clubs in all of NCAA Division III. In a three-game series, Centenary held East Texas Baptist to just 5 runs in 27 innings, including just one run in each game on Saturday, April 2.

Centenary starters combined to go 25.2 out of 27 innings and allowed just five runs (only three earned). The least amount of runs the Tigers scored in a three game series not against Centenary in 2016 was only 15 at Louisiana College to end the regular season, and that was in two less innings played.
