Information for Busy Weekend at Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. – It will be a busy weekend for Gents and Ladies athletics as the winter and spring seasons clash beginning Friday, February 5.

The basketball teams will play doubleheaders in basketball on Friday and Sunday as they wrap up conference home play this weekend. Beginning with the men at 6 p.m. Friday, with the women following shortly after, the Gents and Ladies battle Austin College at the Gold Dome. Centenary takes on Dallas on Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at noon.

There will still be an admission cost on Friday; however, THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON GAMES ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAY WILL BE FREE. Fans are also encouraged to be aware of the Highlands Mardi Gras parade, BEGINNING AN HOUR EARLY AT 1 P.M. ON SUNDAY. Because of road closures on the parade route, the athletic department asks that fans arrive at the Gold Dome from Youree Drive to Kings Highway to Woodlawn Avenue.

 

Baseball, Tennis to Kick off Seasons Friday

The defending Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Champions kick off the 2016 campaign Friday with a pair of games at Shehee Stadium against Pelican State rival Louisiana College. The Maroon and White play a seven inning game beginning at 4 p.m., followed by a nine-inning game beginning shortly after the conclusion of the first game.

While live video/audio will not be available, live stats will be available. Baseball will also play a seven/nine inning doubleheader against the Wildcats in Pineville on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.

Tennis will kick off the spring season on the road at East Texas Baptist Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.

 

Gymnastics to Live Stream!

Centenary Ladies gymnastics will return home for their penultimate home meet of the season Monday afternoon, February 8, at 1 p.m. The Maroon and White welcome in fellow Midwest Independence Conference-foe, the Illinois-Chicago (UIC) Flames.
