LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Announced by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference on Monday, March 7, sophomore Kaleb Kirk garnered Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. It is the second time this season a Gent has received this award.

In Centenary’s dominating 8-0 win against #17 UT Tyler last Wednesday, March 2, Kirk allowed no runs and three hits on only 47 pitches. Only one Patriot advanced past first base in the game. Kirk retired the side in order in 3-of-5 innings.

Freshman Matthew Devillier threw the final four innings to complete the first shutout for Centenary this season.

The Diamond Gents open up SCAC play this weekend when Austin College visits Shreveport for a three games series. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, March 11.
