SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents were able to tie the game with a run in the top of the third, but Centenary (7-3) left six men stranded and managed a season-low five hits in a 4-1 loss at UT Tyler (5-1) Sunday afternoon, February 19.

Still tied at one top of the fifth with two outs, Wilkinson walked and senior Aaron Quintanilla singled. However, a groundout ended the threat.

Still tied at one, UT Tyler scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth off of junior Centenary. With one out, Tim Hunter and Gunnar Quick singled. Kirk induced a flyout for the second out, but Daniel Williams singled in a run and Quick advanced to third. A balk scored the second run to put the Patriots up 3-1.

UT Tyler added an insurance run in the eighth for the final three-run deficit.
