Scott Dwyer

After playing for the Diamond Gents the past two seasons, Scott Dwyer begins his first season as an assistant coach for Centenary baseball in 2018.

 

2017 Senior Season: Appeared in 28 games with 13 starts... batted .314 with 16 hits in 51 at-bats with 16 runs scored and 10 RBIs.

2016 Junior Season: Played in 26 games with 25 starts... Hit .247 while going 20-for-81 with 17 runs scored, 11 RBI’s, two double, two triples, and a home run... Had a season high three hits twice, including in both games of a doubleheader at Louisiana College February 6, apart of his opening weekend with the Gents... Went 8-for-16 with five runs scored and three RBI’s to be named the inaugural Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week February 8... Had 72 putouts with 44 assists with no errors... Hit the game-winning, two-run home run in the top of the 11th in the 12-10 win at Schreiner in a rain-suspended game March 18-19... Named to the SCAC Academic All-Scholars list for the spring of 2016.

Prior to Centenary: Played for Feather River College in Quincy, California, after graduation from HS... Named an Academic All-American Golden Valley Conference... Played outfield and first base for Spanish Springs HS... Also played basketball for the Cougars.

Personal: Birthday is July 5... Born in Arcata, California... Son of Scott Dwyer and Laura Oltman...  Majoring in business administration at Centenary.
