SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary gymnastics team posted six personal best routines and the second-best team total of the season (191.300), but Texas Woman’s beat BYU in the tri-meet 195.625-195.400 on Saturday night, February 11, in Denton, Texas.

Hey there Centenary Gymnastics fans! It’s Tavia Smith again coming to you with this week’s gym talk! Coming off the high of a double home meet weekend last week, the Ladies were ready to take on our first away meet not on neutral territory this year. We traveled to Iowa State University to take on the Cyclones and the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State University.

CHICAGO – Sophomore Centenary gymnast Navia Jordan was named Midwest Independence Conference Specialist of the Week in a vote by the MIC’s six sports information directors released Tuesday, January 31.

SHREVEPORT, La. – Sophomore Navia Jordan completed the weekend sweep on floor, while senior Allison Scates accomplished the same feat on bars, but Centenary (2-3) fell to Air Force (2-4) 192.000-190.650 Sunday afternoon, January 29.

The Ladies gymnastics team did just that, but they needed every tenth Friday night as Centenary (2-2) bested Wisconsin Oshkosh (0-6) 191.450-191.250 on the “Flip for the Cure” night for breast cancer awareness at the Gold Dome Friday, January 27.
