White takes All-Around, Jordan Ties Season Best in Win on Floor in Senior Meet

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary gymnastics team closed out its 2017 home schedule by falling to two-time USA Gymnastics defending champion Lindenwood, 193.850-189.600, Saturday afternoon, February 25.

In the final routine, sophomore Navia Jordan turned in the highest score of the afternoon with a 9.875. Junior Ashley White turned in her second-best all-around total of the season with a 38.925, the highest at home this season. She finished third with a 9.825 on floor, a season high. White also equaled a season best with a 9.775 on vault, finishing third.

White completed her afternoon by placing fourth on beam (9.725) and fifth on bars (9.650).

Freshman Evelyn Harris matched a career best by finishing eighth with a 9.625 on vault.  She also turned in collegiate bests with a 9.600 on floor (sixth) and 9.800 on beam (second).

Harris took third in the all-around with a 37.825 total.

Kierstin Sokolowski won on both vault (9.825) and bars (9.800) to lead Lindenwood. Andy Alexander tied Sokolowski on bars, while Emily Millet took the crown on beam with a 9.850.

Centenary returns to action Friday night, March 3, at 10 p.m. against Alaska Anchorage. Meet time is scheduled for 10 p.m. (7 p.m. AKST).
