SHREVEPORT, LA - Centenary College Director of Athletics and Wellness Ronda Seagraves announced Wednesday, July 15, that head gymnastics coach Jackie Fain has been named the athletic department’s Senior Women’s Administrator. Fain will continue to lead the Ladies gymnastics team, in addition to her taking on this new administrative role.

“I am pleased and proud to announce that Jackie Fain will be taking on additional duties as the NCAA designated Senior Woman Administrator,” said Seagraves.  “She will be working with me to assist in Title IX initiatives, conference business, and advocate for issues important to student-athletes. I look forward to Jackie’s input and leadership in this new role moving into the start of the 2015-16 season.”

Fain, currently in her fifth season at the helm of the Ladies gymnastics program, came to Centenary College for the 2011-2012 season. She wasted no time in putting her stamp on the program as the team’s regional qualifying score of 191.355 was its highest in four seasons. The team also qualified for the USA Gymnastics (USAG) nationals as a team, garnering four All-Conference and four All-American gymnasts.

In Fain’s four season with Centenary Gymnastics, the 2013 Midwest Intercollegiate Conference Coach of the Year has mentored 13 USAG All-Americans, seven all-conference gymnasts, two USAG National Meet team appearances and the highest team score (193.975 in 2003) since the 2005 season.
