Gymnastics Sixth at MIC Championships, White Wins Second Team All-Conference
CHICAGO – The Centenary Ladies gymnastic team posted a 190.350 to finish sixth at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon, March 18.
Lindenwood repeated as MIC Champions with a 194.675, while Texas Woman’s finished second (194), Illinois State third (193.875), host UIC fourth (192.750) and Southeast Missouri State fifth (192.500).
Junior Ashley White finished with a season-best on vault, receiving a 9.800 to take sixth and make Second Team All-Conference on the apparatus. White also took seventh in the all-around with a four-event total of 38.775.
The Ladies scored a season-best 48.150 on vault, only the second time they reached the 48-plateau on the event in 2017. Senior Allison Scates (9.600) and Taylor Le Moal (9.525) received season highs on vault, while sophomore Aspen Hattley matched a career best on the apparatus with a 9.600.
Sophomore Navia Jordan placed ninth on floor with a 9.825.
