White Finishes Ladies Gymnastics Season with Career High on Beam
SEATTLE – Competing in the event finals on balance beam, junior Ashley White bumped up her career high by .050 to finish second in the event finals at the USA Gymnastics Championships in Seattle, hosted by Seattle Pacific on Sunday, April 9.
White received a 9.875 on the apparatus, besting her previous high of 9.825. In the four-judge panel, she received two 9.900 and two 9.850. With the highest and lowest score dropped, the two in the middle are averaged for her 9.875. She was bested by Cornell’s Kaitlin Green, who received one more 9.900 than White to win the event by .025.
