Events: All-around

2017 Senior Season: Qualified for USA Gymnastics Nationals on bars and beam... Won on bars in both meets of the home-opening weekend, receiving a career-best 9.875 against Wisconsin OshKosh on January 27 and a 9.800 against Air Force on January 29... Also finished second on bars with a 9.700 against Alaska March 3... Also received season highs of 9.775 on beam, 9.600 on vault, 9.350 on floor, and 37.575 in the all-around... Named a Scholastic All-American by the National Association of Gymnastics Coaches... Also earned Midwest Independent Conference Academic All-Conference status.

2016 Junior Season: Named a NACGC/W Scholastic All-American as was one of 97 gymnasts in the country with a perfect 4.0 for the 2015-16 academic year... Finished as an MIC Scholar Athlete.

2015 Sophomore Season: Appeared in all 12 regular season meets and the Midwest Independent Conference Championships, competing in every event 10 times, just vault, bars and floor twice and just vault and bars once… Qualified for the USA Gymnastic Championships in the All-around April 10… Turned in a career-best 38.650 to finish third in the All-around against New Hampshire in the regular season finale… Also matched a career-best on bars with a 9.675 against New Hampshire and at Texas Woman’s Feb. 21… Won the All-around with a 38.125 against Texas Woman’s in the season opener Jan. 10… Recorded a career best 9.700 on vault and 9.800 on floor at the MIC Championships… Named to the Scholastic All-American Team by the National Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Association and the All-Scholar Team by the MIC.

2014 Freshman Season: Competed in nine meets with a majority of time coming on vault and bars… Posted a season-high 9.575 on vault against Texas Woman’s on Feb. 23… One meet prior tallied a 9.675 on bars in the tri-meet at New Hampshire… Tallied a season-high 8.975 on floor in a meet at Towson University on Jan. 25.

Personal: A native of Houston, Texas, she was born on Oct. 12, 1994 to Melody Jackson and John Scates… Has one sister, Natalie… A member of Bannon’s Gymnastix under Aimee Boorman, Luis Braesco and Gretchen Ricther in Houston, Texas... Majoring in Engineering… Competed at the 2012 Region 3 Level 10 Championships and 2010 Western Championships… Finished 15th in all-round at the 2012 Level 10 Texas State Championships, second in beam and fifth in all-around at the 2012 Houston National Invitational, second all-around and second in floor at the 2012 Alamo Classic.
