Morgan Leachman begins her second season as an Assistant Coach with Centenary College gymnastics for 2016-17 season.

In her time with Centenary, she has been instrumental as a recruiting coordinator. Also working with vault and beam, she helped the Maroon and White make significant strides in 2016. In the last home meet of the season, the Ladies recorded the second-highest score on beam (48.975) in program history. Centenary hit all 18 beam routines at home in 2016.

Also last season, she helped Ashley White become just the fourth Centenary gymnast to qualify for the NCAA Regionals. She was also instrumental in helping five different athletes qualify for the USA Gymnastic National Championships, where White earned First Team All-American accolades in the all-around, on vault, and on beam, while freshman Navia Jordan grabbed First Team All-American recognition on floor.

In the rankings, she helped coach White to the top spot in NCAA Division III on vault, while Jordan claimed the top position on beam.

Leachman graduated in 2007 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, obtaining a degree in anthropology. While at UNCW, Leachman participated in gymnastics and competed regionally and at the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Club national meet.

Leachman began her coaching career in 2004 while attending college. Upon graduation, she moved to Little River, South Carolina, coaching all levels for the Ocean Flippers team at the Gymnastics and More club. Leachman also managed the Xcel Program.

Every summer since 2008, Leachman has led two weeks of competitive camp. In addition to her coaching experience, Leachman holds credentials to judge levels 6-8.

Leachman, currently pursuing her masters in teaching at Centenary College, is married to Nate, a Merchant Marine based in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
