The Gents quickly regained the lead to take the two-point margin in at the break.

The Maroon and White extended the lead to as much as seven points on two different occasions in the opening minutes of the second stanza, but again HC ate away at the deficit and nabbed a 51-50 lead with 10:34 left in the contest and expanded to as much as 10 points (68-58) with just over 2:30 minutes to play.
