Ladies, Gents finish eighth at SCAC Championship

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Centenary cross country teams competed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship this morning with both squads finishing eighth in their respected races.

Kayla Thornhill paced the Ladies finishing 45th overall with a time of 32:15. Kellen Bullock led the Gents with a time of 33:45 which placed him in 37th.

Christy Wolterman finished one spot back of Thornhill with a time of 32:23. Brittany Wagner placed 50th registering a time of 35:59 with Catherine Shackelford in 51st with a time of 36:40. Heather Wilson rounded out the group with a time of 47:03 which placed her 54th.

Andrew Borel finished 39th with a time of 33:51 while Greg Simmons concluded the 8K with a time of 34:04 in 40th. Joseph Reilly registered a time of 37:12 edging out Arash Ataei for 44th. Ataei finished 45th with a time of 37:15.

Colorado College claimed top team honors on both sides of the Championship. Nick Hall was the top runner for the Tigers claiming the individual title with a time of 26:37. Leah Wessler took the top spot for the Black and Gold on the women’s side with a time of 23:17.
