Centenary squads finish fourth at Mook 5

RUSTON, La. – The Centenary cross teams returned to the course on Saturday as the squad both placed fourth out of six teams at the Louisiana Tech hosted Mook 5. Kayla Thornhill and Andrew Borel each led the two squads.

Thornhill finished 38th with a time of 27:37.90 with Borel claiming 33rd on the men’s side with a time of 20:19.70.

Christy Wolterman finished one spot back of Thornhill with a time of 27:51.80 with Catherine Shackelford in 40th with a time of 27:57.90. Brittany Wagner and Marina Perez rounded out the women’s team finishing 44th (29:19.40) and 46th (34:03.00) respectively.

Demri Robinson placed second among the Gents’ finishers with a time of 20:40.60 which was 35th overall. Kellen Bullock finished one spot back of Robinson with a time of 21:10.20. Greg Simmons placed 37th with a time of 21:27.30 while Arash Ataei was the fifth finisher for the Maroon and White with a time of 22:48.10 in 41st.

David Gerhart and Joesph Reilly each competed for Centenary, but didn’t factor into the team standings. Gerhart and Reilly finished 42nd (23:13.50) and 43rd (23:24.90) respectively.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Ken Garland Invitational in Denton, Texas.
