Cross Country squads compete at Watson Ford Invite

CLINTON, Miss. – The Centenary cross country programs competed at the Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College on Friday. The Ladies and Gents finished 20th respectively.

Christy Wolterman led the Ladies with a time of 32:36.74 (120) while Kellen Bullock paced the Gents with a time of 34:25.45 (133).

Catherine Shackelford posted a time of 33:39.38 (124) on the women’s side to finish behind Wolterman. Kayla Thornhill added a time of 33:41.47 (126) with Brittany Wagner posting a time of 35:42.99 (135). Heather Wilson concluded the team standings for the Ladies with a time of 45:07.05 (159).

Gregory Simmons stood as the second top finisher for the Gents with a time of 35:41.98 (142) with Demri Robinson finishing third on the Centenary squad with a time of 35:51.96 (143). David Gerhart and Joseph Reilly rounded out the men’s squad. Gerhart posted a time of 38:29.33 (153) with Reilly tallying a time of 38:43.91 (155).

Centenary returns to the course at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 1 in San Antonio, Texas.
