IRVING, Texas – The Centenary lacrosse team posted a season-high seven goals, but it wasn’t enough as the Gents (0-4) fell 10-7 at the University of Dallas on Sunday afternoon.

After standing tied 5-all at the intermission, the Crusaders tallied four goals in the third quarter to take a 9-5 lead heading into the final 15 minutes. Centenary attempted a rally with two goals in the fourth quarter, but the Blue and White added a lone score to keep the Gents at bay.

Dylan Sherman and Garret Wick paced the Maroon and White with three goals each. Alex Vandruff gathered the lone remaining score. Wick, Vandruff and Matt Ferrel each recorded an assist in the outing.

Colton Toups (0-4) logged all 60 minutes between the pipes recording five saves. Ryan Murphy recorded the complete-game win in goal for UD with 13 saves.

The Crusaders were led Matthew Cyr with five goals.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 7 as it hosts Defiance College. Match time is slated for 2 p.m.
