GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Centenary lacrosse team dropped a 21-1 outing to Lasell College on Sunday afternoon on the campus of Southwestern University.

The Gents attempted 17 shots in the contest with nine coming on goal.

Spencer Nelson recorded the Maroon and White’s lone goal with under 9:30 left to play in the outing. Nelson ranked third on the team in shots with four in the contest. Dylan Sherman and Garret Wick each logged a team-best five attempts in the game.

Max Beilke led the squad with 10 ground balls while Coulton Toups garnered nine to finish second on the team.

Toups logged all 60 minutes in net for the Gents with 15 saves in the affair.

Matt White and Evan Doherty led LC with three goals each. Doherty tied for the team lead in shots with five along with Aaron LaPorte and Josh Gallant.

Chris Thomas-Ikier received the win in goal with five saves in 30 minutes of action. Jorge Salazar recorded the remaining 30 minutes with three saves and the goal surrendered.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, March 21 as the Gents host the University of Dallas. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
