GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Centenary men’s lacrosse team concluded its 2015 campaign with a 24-2 loss at Southwestern University. Centenary finishes with a 1-9 record on the season. SU improves to 6-8.

Dylan Sherman and Alex Vandruff provided the Gents’ two scores in the contest – both coming in the third quarter. The goal was the 12th of the season for Vandruff, which ranks second on the team, while Sherman’s marked the 11th, third best on the squad.

Centenary attempted 10 shots on the day with eight coming on target. Garret Wick led the squad with three shots.

James Cox led the Maroon and White grabbing four ground balls in the outing.

Coulton Toups logged 51-plus minutes in goal for the Gents in the loss. Toups recorded seven saves. Samtorian Martin played the remaining eight-plus minutes between the pipes.

Matt Amerie paced the Pirates with seven goals in the contest. His seven scores came off 10 shots as SU posted 60 attempts on the day.

Charlie Fisher and Evan Carlson split time in goal and combined for six saves – with three each.
