BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Centenary lacrosse team dropped its second contest of the 2015 season as the Gents fall 22-1 at Birmingham Southern on Saturday afternoon.

Matt Ferrell scored the Maroon and White’s lone goal – his first of the season – on a team-best four shots, including three being placed on goal. Dylan Sherman tied Ferrell for tops on the team in shots and placed one on target.

The Gents attempted 12 shots in the contest with five on goal.

Coulton Toups played 52-plus minutes between the pipes in the loss for the Gents. Toups recorded eight saves against 27 Panther shots resulting in 19 goals. Samtorian Martin logged just over seven minutes in goal while allowing the final three BSC scores.

David Arnold paced the Black and Gold with four goals on six shots. BSC took 41 shots in the outing with 30 coming on target. Conor Perine grabbed the win in goal with one save in the contest.

Centenary returns to action on Feb. 22 as it hosts Southwestern University. Match is slated for 12 p.m.
