MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Centenary lacrosse team fell 25-5 at Huntingdon College on Sunday afternoon to move to 1-7 on the season. The Hawks improved to 3-11 on the campaign.

Alex Vandruff led the Gents with two of the five scores while the Matt Ferrell, James Cox and Spencer Nelson each recorded a goal on the day.

Centenary attempted 29 shots on the afternoon with 16 being placed on target. Dylan Sherman led the squad in shots with eight as Vandruff added seven attempts. HC keeper Fuller Parker tallied 11 saves with the complete-match win in between the pipes.

Jakob Works paced the Red and Gray with four goals as he ranked third on the team in shots with six. Brandon Sewell and Patrick Rowe led the team with seven attempts each and combined for five goals. HC attempted 59 shots with 37 coming on-goal.

Coulton Toups received the loss in net with seven goals allowed in eight-plus minutes of action. Toups recorded a pair of saves in net. Garret Wick and Samtorian Martin logged the remaining time in goal. Martin allowed nine scores in 21-plus minutes of action with two saves. Wick tallied eight saves with nine goals allowed in 30 minutes of play.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, April 12 at Millsaps. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
