SHREVEPORT – Continuing its five-match home stand to wrap up the regular season, Centenary’s men’s soccer team hosts No. 22 Colorado College Friday night at 7 p.m. in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference soccer action. The Gents (3-12, 0-8 SCAC) are off a 3-0 win over Texas College Tuesday, and look for consecutive wins for the first time this year. It won’t be an easy task as Colorado College enters 12-3-2 and 5-1-1 in league play. After Friday’s contest, the Gents host the University of Dallas Oct. 28 and Louisiana College Oct. 30 to close out the regular season before the conference tournament Nov. 2. The Gents dropped a narrow 2-0 contest in Colorado Springs, Colo., Oct. 7 in their initial meeting, which feature two second-half goals by the Tigers. Colorado College dominated offensively in the first match, outshooting the Gents 21-4. Spencer Nickerson fired two of Centenary’s shots, both on goal, while Zachary Kidder and Kellen Klaus had one apiece. |
