SEGUIN, Texas – The Centenary men’s soccer team fell 5-0 at Texas Lutheran on Friday evening to move to 0-13 overall and 0-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. TLU moves to 7-4 and 4-4 in the conference.

Isaac Lopez and Colin Nunley each tallied a goal and an assist in the match to pace the Bulldogs. As a team, the Black and Gold attempted 27 shots in the effort. Alejandro Martinez, who scored the first goal of the night, finished second on the team in shots behind six from the foot of Andrew Welsch.

The Gents attempted just five shots in the outing with two coming off the foot Patrick Benton, including one placed on goal.

Rylan Whan received the loss in net with two goals allowed partnered with five saves in the first 45 minutes of action. Austin Andrews played the remaining 45 minutes with three goals surrendered and three saves.

Jonathan Michael recorded a pair of saves in the full 90 minutes to pick up the win for TLU.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 13 as the Gents travel to Schreiner. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
