SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary men’s soccer coach David Orr announced that Jacob Wright completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana. Wright joins Centenary from McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas.

“Jacob is a great young man. He is a solid outside midfield player, who can defend well,” stated David Orr. “I’m very excited that Jacob has chosen Centenary College. His maturity is an asset and we look forward to adding.”

"It was a great pleasure having Jacob Wright on our Andromeda 96 Boys team,” said Wright’s club coach Nasko Arsov. “His dedication, discipline, and speed on the field made him a valuable asset. He has shown tremendous growth as a player over the past 2 years and I believe he will continue to develop even more at Centenary College playing for the Gents."

Wright, who plans to major in biology at Centenary, has played both sides of the midfield along with left and right back for the Lions. Wright has helped the Lions compile a 7-3-1 record this season and assisted on a goal in the squad’s win over Wylie.
