Gents finish fourth, Ladies fifth at NSISC meet
Cleveland, Miss. - The Centenary Gents swim team grabbed fourth at the New South Intercollegiate Conference Swimming Championships while the Ladies finished fifth of seven schools. The championships concluded Friday night.
Henderson State topped the women's rankings with 777 points, well ahead of Truman State's 686 tally. The Ladies accumulated 535 points. Missouri S&T grabbed the men's title with 752 points, nearly 100 ahead of host Delta State (655.5). Centenary racked up 551.5 points despite not having a diving team.Devin Ross (48.44) secured a second-place finish in the 100-yard men's butterfly behind Delta State's Vlad Zinca (48.15). Henry Peter finished fifth with a 49.51 showing.
In the 200-yard women's freestyle, Cassandra Cloutet 's 1:56.79 marked was good enough for sixth while Brittany Wilkens (1:09.08) grabbed eighth place in the 100-yard breaststroke.
