Alexander, Reeks named to SCAC All-Tournament Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – A pair of Centenary tennis players were named to the 2013 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team as Katelyn Alexander and Michael Reeks represented the Ladies and Gents.

Alexander was one of 10 women’s tennis players to be named to the squad after winning her singles match on the first day of the championships claiming a three-set decision over Ashley Hellman (1-6, 7-5, 10-4) of Austin College.

Reeks was a stellar performer on the men’s side garnering a singles and doubles win over Austin College. Reeks won 6-3, 6-0 over AC’s Tyler Roush and followed that with an 8-4 decision over Roush and David Smith with teammate Adam Ghaemmaghami. The Gents pairing nearly claimed its second doubles win of the tournament taking Southwestern’s duo of Egan Cornachione and Sam McCready to the max before falling 9-8.

The Centenary tennis teams went 0-2 in the SCAC Championships to conclude their season.
