Ladies Score Late but Fall to IUPUI
Sunday, October 14, 2007

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore Stefani Robbs scored in the 73rd minute on Sunday for the Centenary (4-10-1, 0-4-1) women’s soccer team, but it was not enough as the Ladies fell to IUPUI (2-9-3, 1-3-1) 2-1. For Robbs it was her fourth goal of the season, which is just one off her season total from a year ago.

Centenary put the pressure on IUPUI, as the Ladies had 10 shots with five going on goal. Robbs and fellow classmate Brittany Brooke O’Neal had two of the five shots on goal, which were match-highs.

Defensively for Centenary, senior goalkeeper Ali Hilsher made four saves, while Jags stopper Jamie Farrell also made four.

IUPUI scored its first goal in the ninth minute, and the second goal came in the 52nd minute. Robbs had a chance to tie the match up in the 78th minute, but her shot went ride right.

The Ladies will be back at home on Thursday afternoon when they host Mississippi Valley State at 4 p.m. for the first of four straight matches at Mayo Field.
