On the men’s side, sophomore Wladimir Montoya (49.91) broke the school record in the 100 yard Butterfly, while classmate John Cefalu (59.22) topped 100 yard Breaststroke by almost over a second.
In the 200 yard Freestyle Relay (1:24.49), Cefalu, Montoya, junior Bryan Myers and senior Dustin Myers broke the mark by nearly a tenth of a second. Juniors Chase Lambert and Bryan Myers, senior Dustin Myers along with freshman Josh Pena topped the 400 yard Freestyle Relay (3:05.50) by over a second.
Winning the 800 yard Freestyle Relay at the conference meet, the team of Montoya, senior Ross Gilbert, Lambert and freshman Rourke Barrett topped the school record by two seconds (6:54.41).
The final record that fell for Centenary was the 400 yard Medley Relay (3:29.35) squad of seniors Adam D’Aquin, Kyle McKee and Dustin Myers, along with Montoya, who broke the mark by almost two seconds.
The Ladies broke school records in the 50, 100 and 200 yard Freestyle events. Junior Leslie Clampitt (24.33, 52.78) broke records in the 50 and 100 yard, while freshman Natalie Holcomb (1:54.23) topped the mark in the 200 yard event.
Freshman Lauren Kloepfer took down the school records in the 50 (29.21) and 100 yard Backstroke (1:01.03), as she broke the times in four and nine tenths of a second respectively. Sophomore Leslie Wyatt set the mark in the 100 yard (1:08.50) breaststroke, while also putting her name on the top of the list in the 200 yard Individual Medley (2:09.85).
Setting the mark in the 400 yard Individual Medley was Kloepfer (4:35.50), who broke Wyatt’s time just 13 hundredths of a second.
All five relays were broken, as Holcomb, Clampitt, senior Melanie Zimmerman and sophomore Natalie Nazzal set times in the 200 and 400 yard Freestyle (1:38.94, 3:33.39). Sophomore Maggie Vaughan added her name to the 800 yard Freestyle relay team (7:46.27), as she and Holcomb, Kloepfer and Nazzal broke the school record by almost five seconds.
The last two marks set by the Ladies was in the 200 and 400 Medley Relay, Kloepfer, Wyatt, Clampitt and sophomore Jessica Brown. The foursome swam 1:51.17 in the 200, while nearly swimming under four minutes (4:00.43) during the 400.
