SHREVEPORT – The Centenary men’s soccer team and head coach David Orr have announced the signing of goalkeeper Seth Prochaska from Victoria, Texas.

Prochaska is a four-year letterwinner from Memorial High School and has been named District Defensive MVP twice. He was also named Crossroads Tournament MVP in 2006 and 2007 and was also a unanimous first team all-district award winner in 2007.

On the club level, he was a member of the Texas State Olympic Development Program in 2006 and 2007. Prochaska also helped his Texas Heat team to the U17 South Texas State Championship in 2007.

“He is a young man with a lot of character and a good head on his shoulders,” said Orr. “He is also somebody that wants to be a student-athlete Centenary and help move the Gents forward in The Summit League.”

In the classroom he was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students and was a member of the National Honor Roll. Prochaska was also elected to the student council in the fall.

Prochaska is the first to be signed for the 2008 season and he is also eligible to play in the fall.
