Gents Soccer Continues Busy Off-season

SHREVEPORT – The Centenary men’s soccer team and head coach David Orr have announced the signing of John McHugh of Keller, Texas. McHugh joins Jude Stewart, Ben Barcelona and Seth Prochaska, who have all signed earlier in the spring.


McHugh, who will play in the midfield, has scored 27 career goals and has given 29 assists in four seasons. As a freshman the Keller, Texas, native scored a career-high 10 goals and gave a career-best nine assists as a junior and senior.


For his efforts on the field, McHugh was named first team all-district as a senior and second after his junior season. He also helped lead his team to the district, bi-district and area championships as a senior.


“John will bring an attacking style of soccer to Centenary this fall,” said Orr. “We are very excited he is joining our program, because John will be part of the bright future of Centenary soccer.”
