Ladies Gymnastics in Sixth

NEW HAVEN, Ct. – Led by sophomore Marisa Schneider’s fifth place tie in the all-around, the Centenary gymnastics team ended day-one competition in sixth. Schneider closed the first day with a score of 38.325, while the Ladies are sitting with 189.000, which is just three points behind Texas Woman’s for first at the USGA National Championship.

Behind Schneider is junior Alyssa Zawieja, who is in 25th place with a score of 28.375. Just five places behind Zawieja is freshman Lauren Carlton, who had her best finish in the vault with a 9.400.

The Ladies will continue their run for a USGA National Championship on Saturday.
