ROCHESTER, Mich. – Freshman Kalyn Harris had two doubles and a pair of RBIs in the Centenary softball team’s game one 4-1 victory over Summit League opponent Oakland on Friday afternoon.

Harris had her first double in the second, which helped lead to the Ladies’ first run of the game. Freshman Jenny Varteressian extended Centenary’s lead by two when she singled home a run.

Oakland got it back to a one-run game in the fourth inning, but Harris came up in the next inning and had her second double of the day, which drove in two runs.

Freshman Hillary Phillips pitched a complete game two hitter and struck out five to get her 14th victory of the season. Her counterpart Jessica Granger also went the distance, but she was haunted by four walks and three earned runs.
