Coaches Corner: David Orr, Gents Soccer
Wednesday, August 6, 2008

This is the first installment of the Centenary College men’s soccer “Coaches Corner.” My name is David Orr and I am the head coach of the men’s soccer program. Gents soccer is only a few days away from opening its preseason training camp on Sunday, August 17th.

The Centenary men’s soccer program is returning 12 players from the 2007 squad which finished the 2007 campaign with a 3-12 mark. Incoming are 22 new players, six of which are transfers. With a large influx of new players, I am hoping for a rejuvenated squad that will improve upon last year’s record.

To this point, with the incredible support of the Athletic Department, and especially our Athletic Director, Dr. Tom Tallach; Centenary Gents soccer looks to have a great 2008 season, with more to follow.

I will be in touch with you regularly throughout our upcoming season, letting you in on all the highs, lows, and behind the scenes happenings with the team. See you again soon and thanks for your support of Centenary Gents soccer.

Go Gents!
