Centenary's Angus Named First Team All-NPF

SHREVEPORT—Centenary assistant softball coach Lyndsey Angus has been named first team All-NPF by the National Pro Fastpitch League. The league selected 18 players for the honor, four pitchers, eight position players and six at-large selections. Angus was chosen as the first baseman on the All-NPF squad.


Angus finished the season as the league leader in on-base percentage at .503. She was third in walks (31), fifth in batting average (.315), and seventh with 23 RBI. She also placed in the top 20 in hits (34) and runs (11).


Her New England Riptide team finished fourth in the regular season standings in her fifth year playing in the professional league. She will return to the Centenary campus this week to resume her coaching duties with the Ladies softball program.
