Gents Involved in Another One Goal Match
Saturday, September 13, 2008

CONWAY, Ark. -- For the fourth time this season the Centenary men’s soccer team has been involved a one-goal match. However, the Gents came out on the short end on Saturday afternoon falling to Belmont, 1-0, at the Central Arkansas Tournament.

It was an evenly played match in the first half, as both teams had four shots and one save, but neither team could score a goal. Centenary (1-3) freshman Seth Prochaska and Belmont keeper Wesley Wrey each made one save.

However, just over nine minutes into the second half Belmont (3-2) scored all it needed to on a header by Will Moorad. Later in the half Centenary had four shots on goal, but it still could not find the back of the net.

Sophomore Josh Gomillion had a match-high three shots on goal and four total, while senior Gabe Silvas added two. For Belmont, it was led by Moorad and Justin Feruson, who landed two shots on goal.

The next action for the Gents will be on Wednesday when they travel back to Conway to play Central Arkansas at 4 p.m.
