STARKVILLE, Miss.—The Centenary volleyball team wrapped up play in the MSU Club Bulldog Invitational hosted by Mississippi State on Saturday with a 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-7, 25-18) loss to Central Arkansas. It was the second win in a week for the Sugar Bears over the Ladies, who met up last week at UCA.

Centenary (2-9) did not have a bad game offensively, but the Ladies defense could not contain Central Arkansas (6-3). The Sugar Bears hit .326 for the match, including a sizzling .480 in game three.

Brianna Kern was the only Centenary player to reach double digits in kills with 12, and she added 13 digs on the day. Bethany Kern totaled 12 digs to go with three service aces for the Ladies, while Kayla Tibaldo recorded 17 digs in the loss. Tibaldo was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts on defense. The freshman tallied 48 digs over the three tournament matches for Centenary.

The Ladies return to action on Friday and Saturday next week when they open Summit League play at IUPUI and Western Illinois.
