SHREVEPORT--The Centenary volleyball team will finally play its first home match of the season after a month on the road when it hosts IPFW in a Summit League showdown on Friday at 7 p.m. The match will be the first of several played in the Fitness Center as the result of ongoing renovations to the Gold Dome.

Centenary (2-11, 0-2 Summit) kicked off the conference portion of its schedule with a pair of road losses at IUPUI and Western Illinois last weekend. The Kern sisters, Bethany and Brianna, have been steady for the Ladies this season. Bethany, a sophomore, leads the team in digs (176) and aces (19), while Brianna, a freshman, is tops on the squad with 107 kills. Senior Ashlee Freeman sets the pace for the blocking attack with 32 total blocks on the campaign.

IPFW (5-7, 2-0 Summit) has won four straight matches, including its first two Summit League matches at home last weekend. The Mastodons knocked off UMKC, 3-1, before dropping Oakland by the same score. IPFW has a trio of hitters already over 100 kills on the season led by Jessica Miller (117). Rebekah Roehm is a double threat for the Mastodons with 100 kills and a team-best 146 digs.

After the match, Centenary will travel to Kansas City for a rare home-road split conference weekend. The Ladies will take on UMKC on Sunday at 3 p.m.
