Ladies and Gents Ease Past Reddies

SHREVEPORT – The Centenary swimming teams sent the class of 2009 out with a big win over Henderson State on Friday afternoon. The Ladies (107-97) had a 10-point win over HSU, while the Gents (148-53) were 95 points in front of the Reddies.

Two big records fell for Centenary, as the 200-yard Medley Relay team swam the event in 1:34.77, breaking the old mark set by SMU. Freshman Maddie Wyatt (2:10.47) set the pool record in the 200-yard IM by two tenths of a second, which was held by Paulina Alexander of Incarnate Word.

The Ladies and Gents will be back in action on Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth, when they take on TCU and San Diego State.
