ELMHURST, Ill. – After tossing a no-hitter against Bryant and allowing just three runs the entire weekend, Centenary freshman Hillary Phillips was named The Summit League Pitcher of the Week.

In her first collegiate start, Phillips tossed her no-no and allowed just three base runners, while fanning seven in Centenary’s 4-0 win over the Bulldogs.

On the weekend, Phillips went 2-1, with a 1.40 ERA and fanned 19 batters in 19.1 innings of work, allowing just three earned runs. She pitched in four of the five games and helped the Ladies to a 4-1 overall mark.

The Ladies next action will be on Friday at 10 a.m. against Central Arkansas in the Louisiana-Monroe Mardi Gras Tournament. Centenary will also play Southeast Missouri twice and ULM on Saturday to conclude the tournament.
