Ladies Drop Match 3-0 to NDSU

FARGO, N.D.-Centenary faced a highly competitive North Dakota State volleyball team, falling 3-0 in its second Summit League match on Saturday night.

The Ladies (1-9, 0-2 Summit) dropped set one, 25-14, before falling 25-12 in set two and 25-19 in the final set of the match.

As a team, Centenary totaled 19 kills, while North Dakota State tallied 46. The biggest impact for the Bison was the .370 attack percentage compared to the Ladies' .000.

Defensively, Centenary had 38 digs to the Bison's 58.

Sophomore Stevie Hurlbirt finished the match with five kills and a team-high 33 attacks. Freshman Christina Fellows and sophomore Brianna Kern each had four kills.

Classmate Jaclyn Lopez led the Ladies with 14 assists, while junior Bethany Kern had a team-high 11 digs.

The Ladies will return home to host Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Gold Dome for Centenary's home opener.
