SHREVEPORT-Playing an overpowering North Dakota State team, the Centenary women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets on Friday night in Summit League play.

The Ladies couldn't manage to overcome a .425 attack percentage by the Bison, dropping sets 25-13, 25-21, and 25-12.

In the first set, NDSU went up 1-6 on two bad sets and several Bison kills. The early lead gave way to an upsetting -.03 attack percentage by the Ladies.

Playing a much better second set was Centenary as it was tied late at 21-21. Though, four final points on three errors sent the Ladies into the third set down 2-0.

Down 0-3 in the final set, helped out by two service aces from the Bison, Centenary was out attacked and never was able to narrow the large, early deficit.

The Ladies tallied 27 kills to the Bison's 45. Sophomore Melissa Reed led with six kills. Teammate Jaclyn Lopez had a team-high 17 assists and nine digs defensively.

Centenary will be back in action on Saturday at 5:00 pm as it host South Dakota State in the Gold Dome.
