SHREVEPORT-After a long season on the road, the Centenary swimming teams will compete in front of a home crowd for the first time all season on Saturday when the Gents host TCU and the Ladies host TCU and UALR at 1:00 pm in Haynes Fitness Center.

Centenary will honor nine seniors during Saturday's meet as Jessica Brown, Kendra Norman, Maggie Vaughan, and Leslie Wyatt represent the Ladies, while David Berude, Alex Opland, Quinn Larwood, Clay Malinovsky, and Rustin Green will  represent the Gents.

"We expect to have a packed house because we will be honoring our seniors in our only home meet this season," said head coach Butch Jordan.

This season has proven to be successful on both sides as the women produced three meet victories, defeating Austin College, placing first in the Hendrix Classic and most recently topping Trinity in a dual meet.

The Gents have won four meets this season including dual meets against Trinity, twice, Austin College and placing first in the Hendrix Classic.

Centenary faced TCU last season, however, both the Ladies and Gents dropped close contests.

"Our goal is to see strong racing this weekend. TCU is better than us on paper, but that will just encourage us to step up and compete," said Jordan.

This meet will mark the last of the season before the two squads prepare to take their abilities to Indianapolis to compete in The Summit League Championship on February 18-20.

"This is our last chance to work on any weaknesses we may have before the conference meet in a few weeks," said Jordan.
