SHREVEPORT-The Centenary softball team will return to play as it travels to Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference contest with first pitch set at 4:00 pm.

The Ladies (9-24) are coming off a tough weekend against Summit League foe, Western Illinois, dropping all three contests at home.

Centenary is looking to snap its five game losing skid at SFA. Junior Sara Dornelas paces the offense with a .301 average and a team-best 25 hits. Senior Allison Shepperd has a .267 clip, including 10 doubles, while sophomore Kalyn Harris leads the team with 20 RBI and a .238 average.

On the mound, Dornelas owns a team-low 4.12 ERA and an 8-17 record. The righty has struck out 75 hitters in 119.0 innings pitched.

Stephen F. Austin enters the mid-week game with a 20-12 overall record and an 8-2 clip at home. Briana Bishop leads the team with a .330 average and a team-best six home runs. Kayla Gutowski and Kendal Harper each are hitting a solid .323 and .314, respectively.

The Ladyjacks are controlled on the mound by Monika Covington's 2.39 ERA and 8-7 record, while Angela White is 11-5 with a 3.59 ERA.

Centenary and SFA will meet for the second time this season on Wednesday as the Ladyjacks took a 7-2 win over the Ladies on March 24 in Shreveport. In that game, Shepperd went 2x3 with a run scored to lead Centenary, while Harris and sophomore Katie Matthews each drove in a run.

Following Wednesday's game, the Ladies will return home to host Central Arkansas in one game beginning at 5:30 pm on Thursday.
