Ladies Fall to SEMO in Dual Meet

CAPE GIRAREDEAU, Missouri-The Centenary gymnastics team once again made team improvements to tally its season-best score of 191.825, but fell to SEMO on Sunday afternoon in their dual match with the Redhawks.

The Ladies (4-11) were edged by SEMO, who recorded a team score of 193.925 to capture first in the afternoon contest.

Centenary was led by a second-place tie from sophomore Brittany Adams' 9.675 on Vault. That score was the Ladies' only Top 3 scoring performance, however Centenary shined as a team on Vault, capturing 4th-6th place.

Leading the way for the Ladies on Bars was senior Makensie Lant, who tied for fourth on with a 9.825, while sophomore Jessica Lieblich paced the team on Beam with a 9.775.

Senior Marisa Schneider led the team on the Floor exercise with a 9.675 and a sixth place finish, while Lieblich and Schneider each performed as All-Arounders for Centenary, taking third and fourth with scores of 38.375 and 38.025, respectively.

The Ladies will compete in their final regular-season meet when it takes the cross-country tour to Alaska this upcoming week. Centenary will open the two-day meet on Friday at 7 pm and will wrap up on Sunday at 2 pm.
