Ladies in 13th After Day One at Worldlink Classic

DENTON, Texas-The Centenary women's golf team wrapped up Day 1 of the Worldlink North Texas Classic in 13th place with a two-round total of 681.

The Ladies fired a 339 over the first 18 holes, but then added three strokes to finish with a second round total of 342.

Sophomore Kyndal Rose (74-86, 160) finished as the top Ladies scorer on the course in a tie for 41st with a 36-hole score of 160.

Classmate Rachel Grinnell (86-82, 168) is eight shots behind Rose after firing a 168 to finish in a tie for 68th overall.

Also competing for Centenary was sophomore Justine Kemp (89-81, 170) who shaved eight shots off her opening round to total 170 with a 65th place standing.

Rounding out the Ladies were freshmen Sarah Bradshaw (90-93, 183) in 70th and Kylee Goldthorn (103-100, 203) in 71st place.

Leading the way is Sam Houston State (293-294, 587) in first, North Texas (297-291, 588) in second and Houston Baptist (299-300, 599) in third.

Individually Susannah Grunden (69-70) of Bowling Green paces play with a two-round score of 140.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with one final round beginning with a shotgun start at 8 am.
