PREVIEW: Ladies Soccer Looks to Continue Winning Ways on Road

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women's soccer team will hit the road for two non-conference matchups this weekend beginning on Friday at Mississippi Valley State at 7 pm followed by Jackson State on Sunday at 2 pm.

The Ladies are coming off of two 1-0 wins this past week over Texas College and Millsaps College.

Senior Kortney Causey notched two game-winning goals over the last week to improve her total to a team-best three goals this season. Junior Candace Rushing and sophomore Kelly Fossard each have two goals and Rushing paces the squad with three assists and seven total points.

Junior goal keeper Kalyn Harris is now 3-3 on the year with having recorded two wins in goal last week. Harris has made 31 saves.

As a team, the Ladies have an impressive .545 shot on goal percentage to their opponents, .515. Centenary manages to average 14.1 shots per game.

Mississippi Valley State and Jackson State are both NCAA Division I members of the SWAC.

Following the weekend contests, Centenary will return home to open Summit League play, hosting Oral Roberts on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1 pm on Mayo Field.
