SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women's soccer team was held in check by a solid IPFW squad, falling 3-0, on Friday evening in Summit League action on Mayo Field.

The Ladies (3-8, 0-2 Summit) were held to just two shots on the evening, while the Mastodons put up an impressive 25 as 16 came in the second half alone.

Centenary received its lone offensive attack from junior Candace Rushing, who managed to fire off both shots for the Ladies as one landed on goal.

IPFW maintained control of the ball most of the game as 11 of its 25 shots were on goal.

Junior goal keeper Kalyn Harris played all 90 minutes in net, compiling eight saves, while allowing three to find the back of the net.

The Mastodons recorded the first goal of the game at the 31-minute mark by Arianne Mason off the foot of Lisa Underwood and held a 1-0 lead into halftime. IPFW then would go up 2-0 quickly into the second half on a goal by Kateri Till and then would take a 3-0 advantage on the final goal of the evening by Cassier Egle from Brittany Climmons.

Centenary will be back in action when it hosts Oakland on Sunday at Noon on Mayo Field.
