SHREVEPORT-The Centenary swimming team gears up for its last regular season meet as they take on TCU on Friday evening at 6 pm in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Gents are coming off a first place victory in the double-dual meet last Saturday at home as they posted wins over University of New Orleans and Ouachita Baptist. It was the first time that Centenary has defeated OBU.

Matthew Pittman recorded two first place victories in the 1000 Free (10:01.76) and the 500 Free (4:53.98).

The Ladies captured second in the meet, falling to OBU, but defeating UNO. Centenary had Lauren Lassiter, Allison Jones and Brittany Wilkens all place first in their respective events.

"This is our last dual meet of the season with TCU and it will be our last opportunity to see our teams race in a meet situation before The Summit League Championships in Indy. The meet is a week and a half from the start of conference and that timing is good for us," said head coach Butch Jordan.

Centenary will take this final meet to prepare for a run at The Summit League Championships held in Indianapolis, Ind. on Feb. 16-19.

"I am very confident that our kids will be ready to compete," said Jordan.
